Project Development in Kelantan

Our current project is a township development named Bandar Tasek Raja situated in Pasir Mas, Kelantan. This is a joint venture development project between the Kelantan state government, Majlis Daerah Pasir Mas and Eastern Biscuit Factory Sdn Bhd ("EBF"), a wholly owned subsidiary of EEB. The gross development value of this project is RM179 million. Bandar Tasek Raja has high accessibility from all locations in Kelantan. It is about 2 km away from Pasir Mas town, 19 km from the capital Kota Bharu and 20 km from Rantau Panjang. With a land area of approximately 31 acres, the development consists of a central market, bus and taxi terminal, departmental store and 266 units of single to 3-storey shop office. Bandar Tasek Raja will be the new modern commercial hub in Kelantan.

The project was officially launched on 8 October 2010 and will be carried out in two phases. The first phase consists of 112 units of shop office and departmental store at gross development value of RM51 million. The first phase also includes development of the central market, bus & taxi terminal and surau. The second phase consists of 154 units of 3-storey shop office with basement at gross development value of RM128 million. Both phases are currently open for sale. The first phase of the project has been completed and handed over in May 2016. We have commenced with Phase 2 development in October 2017.

The Grand Renai Hotel

The hotel has undergone a rebranding initiative that includes a new corporate identity, hotel name, logo and revised visual. The hotel is now known as The Grand Renai (formerly known as Renaissance Kota Bharu Hotel)

The hotel operations will be under the new name and is no longer associated with the Marriott International Inc. as of 1st December 2017.

This milestone heralds in a new era. Beside the name change, all other details including the structure of the hotel, current contracts, company agreements and corporate tie-ups signed earlier remain unchanged.

While the hotel's name has changed, our core mission and values will remain the same. Our commitment is to continue to invest in our hotel to meet the expectation and quality for both our new and returning guests.

Shopping Complex and Condominium

Adjacent to Renaissance Kota Bharu Hotel are the Kota Sri Mutiara shopping complex and a Mutiara Tower condominium. The 6-storey shopping complex with a total floor area of approximately 34,400 square meters consists of a supermarket, food court and about 100 units of shoplots. It provides great convenience to the condominium's residents and the Hotel guests. The 23-storey condominium consists of 159 units of apartments where most of the units are sold to various buyers. We are currently managing a small number of unsold units as serviced apartment.
